Catch the latest movie at Cinemark 16 in Harlingen. This movie theater in not called The Palace for nothing. Cinemark 16 boasts all stadium seating, RealD 3D, a lobby cafe that specializes in pizza, burgers and other made-to-order treats, and an arcade. Check for movie times.
Tour Harlingen’s first hospital, the home of city founder Lon C. hill, and Paso Real Stagecoach Inn, built during the civil war. All three historical buildings sit on the grounds of the Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum. Also on the grounds is the Historical Museum which features photos from Harlingen’s heyday as an airbase, plus cultural and natural history exhibits.

The State Farm Arena is a 6,800-seat arena that will configure up to 5,500-seats for ice hockey, football and basketball events. The 20 million dollar arena is home to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League since 2003, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League since 2007, and the Rio Grande Valley Magic of the Lone Star Football League since 2011.
